Marco Duran was born in San Antonio de Ibarra, a small town in Ecuador, world reknown for its galleries filled with hand carved sculptures. He is a Fine Arts Graduate and is a Sculpture and Modeling Post Graduate from Daniel Reyes, the only high school and Post Graduate College dedicated to the fine arts in Ecuador. He also studied at Universidad Central in Quito where he graduated in Design and Architecture. In NY, he studied Sculpture and Drawing at the Art Students League, and on Friday nights, you can still find him drawing from the live model.

Marco applies his artistic skills when creating Decorative Art for a number of design and sculpture houses.

Marco’s work has been featured in many galleries and form part of a major collection of exhibits.
